Hi, I'm Alan. During my undergraduate studies, I was a scholarship holder in the Institutional Program of Scientific Initiation Scholarships (PIBIC) of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) at the Gonçalo Moniz Research Center (CPqGM-BA) of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz).
I completed a clinical fellowship in Neurology of Behavior and Cognition the Escola Paulista de Medicina da Universidade Federal de São Paulo (EPM-UNIFESP), where I also served as a clinical preceptor and collaborative researcher in Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology. I currently serve as a substitute professor of Neurology in the Department of Neurology and Psychiatry (DNPq) at the Faculdade de Medicina da Bahia, Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA).
My main area of interest is the study of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. I dedicate part of my time to research projects in this field and to the clinical care of neurological patients. I am deeply committed to equity in health, digital health, responsible scientific dissemination, and the education of medical professionals and multiprofessional health teams.
